Server Rules

These apply to everyone on the server, with no exceptions. Read them carefully to avoid punishments.

  1. All Discord Rules Apply

    Everything in the Rules channel on Discord applies in-game too.

  2. Stay in Character

    Base important actions and decisions on your soul type. You can do something a bit “evil” or rude, but only with a valid in-character reason. See Playing Your Soul.

  3. Griefing and Stealing Only with Consent

    If griefing is part of your character arc, ask the player first and only go ahead once you have a clear agreement.

    If stealing fits your soul, keep it small: some food and a few resources, so little they'd barely notice.

  4. No Exploit or Bug Abuse

    Report game-breaking exploits, cheats or bugs to Staff Members as soon as you find them. Abusing major exploits will likely get you banned.

  5. No Big Farms or Machinery

    No game-breaking farms or machines, such as raid farms, duplication machines, TNT dupers or gunpowder farms. They make players overpowered overnight and leave less active players behind.

  6. No OP Traps

    Traps are fine as long as they're fair. No orbital cannons or rail-guns, and traps must never destroy a player's items.

  7. Open-World PvP, Within Limits

    PvP is allowed, and sometimes encouraged, but:

    • Don't kill the same player over and over.
    • Don't hunt a player just to eliminate them. If you run into someone on one life, that's fair game.
    • Stay within your soul. No random killing sprees as Love without an in-character reason.
    • Maces can't be enchanted, and End Crystal PvP is not allowed.

  8. Content Creation

    You may record or stream. By agreeing to the rules, you agree that others may record you. If you don't want to be in someone's video, tell them and they'll cut you out where reasonable.

    • Don't follow or harass someone who is live or recording.
    • No stream-sniping: don't watch someone's stream to track their moves, especially during an event.

  9. Client-Side Mods

    Cosmetic and quality-of-life mods are fine, except:

    • X-ray of any kind (this counts as cheating)
    • Fullbright
    • Freecam or similar, except Freecam (Fair Play)
    • Minimaps that show underground layers or other players. Xaero's Minimap is safe; JourneyMap isn't.

  10. No Main Character Syndrome

    Every player matters here. Be a hero or a villain if you like, but don't take the fun away from others. Chaotic characters are fine within the limits of your soul.

  11. Changing Your Soul

    Staff Members can swap or re-roll a soul, but only in rare cases where someone truly can't play their role, and only in the first few days after launch. You can't pick a soul you'd prefer, unless another player wants to swap with you.
