A MINECRAFT MOD
Shape a vessel, choose one of 21 SOULs and live with its quirks. Guard your lives well: when the last one goes, you walk the world on as a ghost.

An Undertale and Deltarune-inspired mod for Minecraft, made for role-play servers and worlds of your own. Everything you see has been redone to match: menus, loading screens, the HUD, the inventory, even the death screen.
Play in your own skin or shape a new vessel: build, hair, shirt, trousers, colours and size. Then pick Human or Monster, a SOUL and a name.
The original seven and fourteen more. Each SOUL has its own colour, its own select sound and its own set of quirks.
Abilities with a good side and, mostly, a cost. Use the active ones from the R ring; the passive ones are always at work.
Humans have 3 or 5 lives, lost by default only to other players. Your heart empties a little each time.
Lose your last life and you come back as a ghost: possess mobs, whisper in ghost chat, slip through portals.
One menu for everything: players, lives, SOULs, quirks, settings and voice chat, with permissions for every part.
Every Human chooses a SOUL. Turn the ring to meet them all, and open a quirk to read exactly what it does.
A new world starts with character creation: choose a style (your own skin, or a vessel you shape: build, hair, shirt, trousers, their colours and your size), a soul-type, a SOUL from the ring, and a name. Then: are you satisfied with your creation?
The soul-types:
The first character made with each SOUL in a world earns the quirk OG.
Health, food, armour and experience become clean bars; your hotbar glows in your SOUL's colour, and players show on the locator bar as diamonds in theirs.
Your name carries your SOUL's heart, in chat, in TAB and over your head, where it glows even in the dark.
The SOUL in your inventory fills by the lives you have left. Every life lost empties a part of it, and the death screen shows it go. By default only other players can take one.
Some quirks give lives back (Soul-Sharing, Mended-Soul, Saving-Grace) and some take them away.
Hold R to open the quirk ring and pick an ability; tap R to use it. Its sign sits beside your hotbar while it waits to be ready again.
Soul-Drain, say: bring a player to half a heart and drain one of their lives into yours.
…your SOUL shatters, and you come back where you fell, as a ghost.
Ghosts can't be harmed and can't harm, but they are far from powerless.
Every ghost has these:
Bones, rotten flesh and a candle make a cold blue candle that keeps ghosts out of the space around it while it burns, ten minutes a candle. Only one may burn within 64 blocks of another.
Two quirks belong to no SOUL: one comes from leaving your SOUL to chance, the other from being first.
/sv (or /soulverse) opens one menu for running the server:
Every part of the menu has its own permission (soulverse.players.*, soulverse.server.*, …), so moderators get only what they need. Works with LuckPerms; operators have it all by default.
Every permission, what it allows and who has it by default
A SOUL is one small JSON file: its name, colour, place on the ring, sound and quirks. Drop it in a datapack and it appears in character creation, names and menus, no code needed. The fourteen Additional Souls are made exactly this way.

datapacks folder, or pick it under Data Packs when you create a world.Want it to have its own sound when it's chosen? Drop an .ogg in the generator and it makes the sound pack too.
Not yet: Soulverse is still being made and tested. This page will say when and where to get it.
Minecraft 26.3 with Fabric Loader and Fabric API (Java 25).
No. It's inspired by Undertale and Deltarune, but everything is explained in game. Knowing them does make a few things funnier.
No: singleplayer has character creation, SOULs, quirks and the menus too. Lives, ghosts and most quirks matter most with other players, though.
Soulverse works with Sodium and Iris; the SOUL glows and name tags stay visible under shaders.
Yes, with a datapack: one JSON file per SOUL. You can give it any of the existing quirks and a sound of its own.
